The Blood Ship is a 1927 American silent drama film directed by George B. Seitz and starring Hobart Bosworth, Jacqueline Logan, and Richard Arlen. It is based on the 1922 novel The Blood Ship by Norman Springer.

The Blood Ship (35mm) is playing with He Who Gets Slapped as part of our A Tale of Two Studios double feature series. Silent film accompanist Jeff Rapsis will provide the live score. 

BEHIND THE REEL

A 35mm print (missing the final reel) of this film was held at the Academy Film Archive in Los Angeles. The final reel was located at long last in 2007. Later that year, the film was screened in its entirety for the first time since its original release.
