After a religious woman’s (Katharine Hepburn) missionary brother is killed in Africa during WWI, a dissolute steamer captain (Humphrey Bogart) offers her safe passage. She persuades him to travel up a treacherous river to attack a German gunship. Bogart won the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of cantankerous skipper Charlie Allnutt.
The African Queen is playing with Key Largo. Both films will be shown in 35mm.
