Being John Malkovich

Unemployed New York City puppeteer Craig Schwartz (John Cusack) reluctantly takes a temp job as a filing clerk. While at work, Craig discovers a portal that leads into the mind of renowned actor John Malkovich.

This 1999 film was directed by Spike Jonze and written by Charlie Kaufman who said the screenplay was always “Being John Malkovich”, even before he had any expectation that John Malkovich would even read the script. Malcovich was reportedly “half intrigued and half horrified” when he read the script, but eventually agreed to star in the film, which has since become a cult favorite.

Being John Malcovich will be playing in 35mm and is showing as a double feature with JCVD.
