It’s the return of the Mahoning Road Show!

Our friends from the Mahoning Drive-In Theater bring the drive-in experience to the Somerville Theatre with a TRIPLE FEATURE

Spend a night at the Drive-In at the Somerville Theatre on Saturday, March 1st, when Pennsylvania’s world-famous Mahoning Drive-In Theater returns with the 2025 “Mahoning Road Show”, replicating the experience of seeing a vintage early 1980s 35mm double feature under the stars, minus the foggy windows and mosquitoes!

For this indoor drive-in experience, Mahoning staff will be on hand to introduce a trio of late 70s/early 80s horror classics, along with vintage 35mm trailers, snack bar ads, and a classic intermission reel between the films!

SHOCK WAVES in 35mm, 8pm

We start off with a longtime Boston independent UHF TV favorite: once they were ALMOST human…Peter Cushing stars in the underwater Nazi zombie chiller SHOCK WAVES (1977)!

THE FUNHOUSE in 35mm, 10pm

Then, you pay to get in, and pray to get out of THE FUNHOUSE (1981), Tobe Hooper’s carnival creeper about terrifying secrets on a monstrous midway!

BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE!

ALLIGATOR in 35mm, Midnight

Stick around for a special Midnight Show hosted by the Mahoning maniacs, with a special single-feature presentation of ALLIGATOR (1980)!  It lives 50 feet beneath the city. It’s 36 feet long. It weighs 2000 pounds…and it’s about to break out! A giant Alligator threatens the citizens of New York, and only Robert Forster can stop it!

Tickets for this special event are on sale now. Triple feature costs $20 for general admission and $16 for members. Individual movie tickets will be available the day of show.
